
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager, Student Account Services & Cashiering, the Student Account Services Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all activities related to the timely and accurate maintenance of over 38,000 student accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the financial integrity of student and 3rd Party Sponsor accounts through supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Student Account Services. Oversee the reconciling accounts receivable and cashiering data to the student financials and general ledger systems. Oversee the research and identification of all reconciling items. Ensure that all charges and cash receipts are applied accurately.
- Develop, and enhance operating policies and procedures as necessary. Redesign systems, review and prepare analytical reports to facilitate the reconciliation of all student revenue and receivable reports.
- Train and assist in the hiring and evaluation of Student Account Services Staff and Student Assistants.
- Provide service to student customers.
- Troubleshoot and provide PeopleSoft system support to internal and external users.
- Participate in the implementation of new systems and the enhancement of existing systems.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of academic curricula, including diverse majors and complex General Education requirements, and is adept at interpreting and applying academic and administrative policies. They possess strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify user needs, and translate them into effective business processes, particularly within advising tools and systems. Proficiency in PeopleSoft and experience maintaining data integrity through approved processes and testing procedures are highly desirable. This candidate excels in troubleshooting system issues, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and delivering results independently. They are committed to providing respectful, empathetic customer service aligned with university values and fostering collaborative relationships across Enrollment Services, faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, they maintain clear documentation of roles and responsibilities to support operational continuity and strategic planning.

Education and Experience
• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business Admin/Accounting) and three years of related experience (professional level accounting and supervisory experience) required.
• Billing/Receivable system experience and five years accounting experience preferred.
Physical Summary
- Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4,598 - $7,000 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,598 - $8,318 per month.
